The Westin Kuala Lumpur and The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa Make Monday Better for Guests with 3pm-Sunday Check-Out, Extended Breakfast Hours all Weekend and more
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; June 7th 2013 - The Westin Kuala Lumpur and The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa tackled the Monday blues head-on with the introduction of a new, dedicated weekend program that gives guests more flexibility and time to make the most out of their weekend getaway. As part of the global brand-wide initiative, both the city hotel and island resort invite guests to personalize their weekend experience with 3pm Sunday check-out, extended breakfast hours all weekend and more. To celebrate the launch, The Westin Kuala Lumpur and The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa invited guests to an afternoon of fun at The Westin Kuala Lumpur, giving them a sneak preview of what a weekend has to offer at Westin hotels and resorts globally.
The launch showcased the Westin Weekend set up with a welcome ritual at the hotel lobby that involves the Hotel’s management team, who were dressed in specially designed casual weekend uniforms. Apart from that, a variety of subtle sensory cues including changes in lighting, music and décor, also took place to enhance the relaxed weekend ambience.
On hand to kick off the ceremonies were Hratch Khatchanian, General Manager of The Westin Kuala Lumpur, and Michael Schlueter, Managing Director of The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa.
Following the launch, guests were invited for a Westin Journey, showcasing the difference of a Westin Weekend room set up at The Westin Kuala Lumpur. They also took part in three different weekend activities which included a cooking demo, a yoga session and a pampering session, all of which are elements of a Westin Weekend campaign at these two properties.
The event gave opportunity for guests to mingle over SuperFoodsRx™ inspired refreshments, promoting wellness and wellbeing as well as having their souvenir photos taken by the award winning Heavenly Bed by Westin™ which was laid out in its all-white splendor at the lobby, tempting all in attendance to start their weekend early.
Guests are encouraged to linger in bed longer with a late 3pm Sunday check-out and extended breakfast hours on Saturday and Sunday, available at the hotel’s and resort’s all day dining venues or through in room dining.
